Our third concert for 2026 will feature Dr Nathan Henshaw as our guest conductor!
Dr Nathan Henshaw is an Australian saxophonist, educator, and arts leader recognised for his dynamic and versatile career across classical, chamber, jazz, and contemporary music. He is a member of one of Australia's leading chamber ensembles, Nexas Quartet, and also performs with Ironbark Ensemble, Duo Rosella, and the NSW Police Band.
Nathan has appeared as a soloist, chamber musician, and clinician at major national and international festivals, conferences, and educational events. A graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where he completed a Doctor of Musical Arts, he is committed to artistic excellence, championing Australian music, and advancing the saxophone through performance, collaboration, education, and the development of new repertoire.
Nathan is a Performing Artist for Selmer Paris, D'Addario Woodwinds, and Silverstein Works.

OUR ORCHESTRA
Seeking New Players
Leichhardt Wind Orchestra is looking for new players! We are an Inner West ensemble committed to playing a wide range of wind orchestra repertoire from composers such as Holst, Grainger, Vaughan Williams, Barnes, Stravinsky and more.
We rehearse on Monday evenings at Kegworth Public School, Leichhardt and perform four concerts each year in the local community.
All rehearsals are held at Kegworth Public School (in the hall off Lords Rd) from 7:30pm until 9:15pm every Monday evening.
Our members are all ages, come from a broad range of backgrounds and share a passion for music. We are looking for players in brass, winds and percussion. You need to be a good sight reader and able to play music up to Grade 6.
